上图中这位老人名字叫Yisrael Kristal，来自以色列（Israel）, 是奥斯维辛集中营的幸存者（Auschwitz survivor）。2016年, 113岁的他被授予吉尼斯世界纪录（Guinness World Records），成为官方认定的“The World’s Oldest Living Man”.
今天早上（2017年8月11日），据BBC报道，这位充满传奇色彩的老人走完了他的一生。标题为：World's oldest man, Auschwitz survivor Yisrael Kristal dies
当人们得知他获得2016吉尼斯世纪记录时，人们最感兴趣的还是他的长寿秘诀。
他说：“I don’t know the secret for long life. I believe that everything is determined from above and we shall never know the reasons why.”
“我不知道长寿的秘密。我相信一切都是由上帝来决定，人类永远不会知道。”

幸运的是，这位老先生的女儿Shula Koperstoch在接受以色列当地媒体采访时，道出了父亲长寿的秘密。
“Despite all that he went through, and he lost the whole family in the Holocaust, he had a lot of optimism, and he always saw only light and good in everything."
“尽管父亲经历那么多磨难，甚至在大屠杀中失去整个家庭，可他依然充满乐观，永远看到事物光明和美好的一面。”
